Dimensional Freight Quote (DFQ) offers made through the Dimensional Freight Quote Web Service by authorized users are subject to the following terms of use. All shipment charges will be invoiced to the payer indicated in the quote request and listed on the Bill of Lading. YRC Freight, or its authorized agents, reserves the right to reject a service request when the requested service cannot be reasonably performed, or is unavailable for the specified origin/destination. Stated rates and charges assume pickup by YRC Freight or its authorized agent, during the valid window of the Quote ID on the BOL. To apply a DFQ Rate to a shipment, the following must appear on the Bill of Lading:
- A valid DFQ Quote ID
- Freight Dimensions
- Authorized Verbiage Time Critical by 5pm, if applicable
- “Excess Liability” and requested amount, indicated as “$5/lb or $10/lb”, if applicable
All shipments are subject to YRC Freight Tariff 100 rules and conditions at http://www.yrc.com/tariff. See Tariff 100, Item 780, for prohibited and restricted commodities. All cargo tendered for transport is subject to inspection. All shipments will move subject to the NMFC domestic Bill of Lading. Release Value Commodities found with YRC Tariff 301, including household goods, will move at the lowest release value. Unless otherwise requested, Carrier’s liability will not exceed $2.00 per pound, per package – maximum default liability is $20,000 per shipment. Excess liability may be requested at the time of quoting. The purchase of excess liability does not affect the valuation of Release Value Commodities.
In the event that the shipment characteristics differ from those listed in the response, the shipment will be rated based on the CWT charge used for the quote offer and may be subject to additional charges including Capacity Load, Tariff 100, Item 390. Freight tendered before the quoted pick-up date or after the quote expiration date will be rated according to the payer’s published pricing with YRC Freight. Charges for services not outlined within this offer will be governed by YRC Freight Tariff 272 and Tariff 100. Any exceptions that YRC Freight may have agreed to in other pricing programs, including Tariff 127, do not apply. No further discounts, incentives, commissions or allowances apply.
TIME CRITICAL LIABILITY
YRC Freight’s liability for failure to deliver a shipment within the agreed upon timeframe shall not exceed 100% of applicable freight charges for such shipment. See Tariff 100 for complete details.
